Gordon Skeats
Pilates Instructor & Massage Therapist

I qualified in 2016 as a clinical sports and remedial massage therapist. I joined the prestigious Bridgeham clinic in 2017, working closely alongside osteopaths and other medical professionals. The clinics philosophical approach of offering patient centred healthcare really resonated with me.
After a year in clinic I realised some of the limitations of my treatments and after being mentored and inspired by Jo Strutt I decided to study Pilates rehabilitation. I qualified as a Pilates instructor in 2018 in both Mat and Machine and have been combining the manual therapy techniques alongside the Pilates rehabilitation to give the best well rounded treatment to my patients.
To further my understanding of the body's anatomy & physiology and also to learn advance Osteopathic manipulative technique (OMT), I decided to study Osteopath, thanks to Trevor Strutt who has selflessly mentored and inspired me throughout my time at the clinic. I am currently an Osteopathy Student at the London School of Osteopathy (LSO) and have been using the knowledge and understanding to continuously update and improve my clinical practice.
I have a wealth of experience and expertise in manual therapy and Pilates rehabilitation, i have seen thousands of patients with a range of different conditions and injuries from; minor and chronic aches and pains, to pre and post surgical interventions like hip replacements, all the way up to severe and acute/sub acute injuries with patients suffering with; disc injuries, as well as sciatic nerve pain and other neuropathic pains around the body.
In my treatments i uphold the highest quality standards and work with patients using a treatment plan to methodically help them to; reduce pain, improve the severity of symptoms and get them back on their feet in a timely manner whilst educating and informing patients to significantly reduce the likelihood of repeating severe injuries again.
Part of this journey from broken to brilliant is offering continued and regular Pilates strength and conditioning to patients in order to facilitate their future goals, whether it be; getting back to the gym, running a marathon, being confident to ski and hike on their holidays.
I see reducing patients pain as the first step towards achieving full body health, where patients can achieve more and excel in their physical, psychological and spiritual lives.
