Francesco Lodi
Counsellor (talking therapist)
I am an experienced counsellor, therapist and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My extensive background in talking therapies and counselling led me to work for the NHS, as well as the private sector.
In addition to my therapy practice I am a Lecturer in Counselling, currently teaching on a Foundation degree awarded by Middlesex University.
My qualifications include:
· BA (Hons) Degree in Person-Centred Counselling – (Middlesex University, London)
· Clinical Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling – (Metanoia Institute, London)
· Postgraduate Certificate in Autogenic Therapy (approved by the British Psychological Society)
I am passionate about nurturing my own personal growth alongside my professional development. I often engage in groupwork with other therapists, and I am committed to my own continuous professional development through regularly attending conferences and seminars.

Relationships – I bring a wealth of experience to relationship therapy, including issues around intimacy, vulnerability and negative judgements. I have helped couples and families work through separations as well as exploring communication patterns and vicious cycles of arguments.
Depression – depression can sometimes be hard to put into words; it can impact your mental health, making you feel powerless, confused, exhausted, empty, numb and lost. Together we can explore your experiences in order to help you feel more able to cope and manage your feelings.
Self-esteem – my understanding and experience of working with issues around self-worth can help you better understand yourself, finding a new sense of confidence. Working with me can bring about an understanding of your negative self-talk and help you move from a place of indecision and insecurities towards greater self-love.
Difficult childhoods – bullying, neglect and abuse in early life, among other experiences, can lead to feeling powerless, lonely, worried, overwhelmed and an inability to trust others. I can help you explore and address the impact of these experiences to allow you to move forward.
I am committed to helping you navigate challenging issues and tough times. Therapy can help you better understand how to manage your emotions, work through difficult experiences, and find a way forward. Working together can enable you to listen to – and understand– your inner voice, empowering you to become the person you want to be.
